Gratitude

The summer has been so busy with vacations and Arts and Crafts Camp that I've hardly had time to post anything. It hasn't kept me from taking pictures though. :) As a matter of fact, my husband took me to buy a few close-up filters today for my lens and I couldn't be more thrilled. Tonight we were out testing it on the yard and for some reason this shot stood out when I went back to look at all that we'd taken. What a blessing to be surrounded by beauty in all forms and what a joy it is to find cheerful colors that remind me of the beauty of those around me.
Thank you, family!

Beauty Revealed

“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.”

Scattered Seeds

air welling up the need to write
an inward reflection
finding growth in a warmed porch
or a swelling belly
full of this and that
and heart
and living life
of dandelion's on the wind
...
a breath of air exhaled
exchanged
through bubble loops
and sometimes holes as small as pins
that give a scent or aura
from tears and dew found
in stream beds at dawn
covered with hue
and memories

"These are for you!"

I about panicked when the kids showed up with tulips from the neighbors yard. Thank you to two little girls who meant well and to a great neighbor friend who understands the beauty of a picked gift. After some investigation I discovered that they did ask before they took the flowers. Sigh of relief!
Psalm 24
Of David. A psalm.

1 The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
2 for he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the waters.
3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to an idol
or swear by what is false.
5 He will receive blessing from the LORD
and vindication from God his Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Selah
